Sailors are now able to make late application for entry to the World Laser 4.7 Youth and World Laser Standard Under 21 Championships 2012.

Availability of Charter Boats
World Laser Standard Under 21 Championship
Presently there are charter boats available for the World Laser Standard Under 21 Championship, sailors that require a charter boat can make a late application now and subject to being ranked and confirmed as a class member by your National Laser class receive a place offer with a charter boat.

World Laser 4.7 Youth Championship
All 80 charter boats for the World Laser 4.7 Youth Championship have been offered to previous applicants, however it is probable that not all of the previous applicants will accept the charter boats offered to them. ILCA is running a waiting list for charter boats for the World Laser 4.7 Youth Championship, to be added to the waiting list for a charter boat make a late application to attend the championship.

Pour la première régate de grade 1 de cette année olympique, je me suis envolé pour Miami. C’était ma troisième participation à la worldcup des USA. Après le Championnat du Monde ISAF en Australie un break s’imposait, je suis donc arrivé en Floride très peu entrainé et avec quelques mauvais microbes de l’hiver européen. Deutsche Version

Trois Suisses du cadre national en Laser Radial et en Laser Standard ont fait le déplacement en Floride fin janvier pour courir la deuxième étape du circuit des World Cup et rejoindre ainsi le gratin de la voile olympique.
Les dix régates et la medal race ont eu lieu dans de belles conditions et sous le soleil avec des airs soufflant entre 8 et 15 noeuds durant toute la semaine. A l’issue de l’Europa Cup de Hrvar fin décembre, le classement des Europa Cup & Youth Grand Prix 2011 nous réserve d’agréables surprises :

Une victoire en Laser 4.7 féminin toutes catégories (dame, U18 et U16) de Maud Jayet, suivie au 2ème rang d’Andrea Nordquist (U16).
En Laser 4.7 homme, c’est Kilian Wagen qui remporte la 1ère place (U16) suivi de Sébastien Schneiter 2ème (U18).
En Laser standard nos trouvons 3ème Andreas Kyburz chez les U21. (weiterlesen …)

Les fêtes de Noël passées, nous voilà partis sur l’île de Hvar, en Croatie, pour la dernière Europacup de la saison 2011. Après 1200km de route nous avons pris le ferry reliant Split à Hvar. Arrivés sur l’île, bien qu’il n’y ait pas beaucoup de route nous avons quand même réussi à nous perdre et ne pas trouver le club avant 45min… (weiterlesen …)

ACTION REQUIRED

There is now only 1 week left to make applications for entry to the 2012 World Laser Masters, World Laser 4.7 Youth and World Laser Standard Junior Championships.

Please can all National Laser Class ask any of their sailors who may be interested in attending any of these championships to complete the relevant application form on the ILCA website urgently.  If possible, please publish this information on your website and send an email to any sailors from your country that meet the age criteria for each championship.

Please ensure that your sailors are aware that if they do not apply by 10th January 2012 have very little chance of attending these championships. (weiterlesen …)
